Start with Manchester’s current terminal arrangement

Manchester now operates passenger flights from Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. The official airport information says T2 serves all airlines except Ryanair, while Ryanair uses T3. Check the airline confirmation before booking, including the return flight.

Older references to Terminal 1 are not a reason to create or use a new T1 passenger-parking plan. The terminal and parking transformation changed how several products are described.

T2 parking at a glance

Current product reference Main decision What to check
P1 T2 Meet & Greet Leave the vehicle with the parking team Reception and key-handover procedure
P2 Official pages currently use differing product labels Confirm the exact product on the booking
P3 T2 West Multi Storey Self-parking near T2 Pre-booked versus barrierless drive-up terms
P4 T2 Park & Walk Self-parking with a pedestrian route Current walk and entrance instructions
P16 Drop & Go Vehicle handover with its own terminal connection Arrival process and return collection
Shuttle-based alternative Compare a longer-stay price with transfer time Correct terminal and bus arrangements

The P-number is an identifier, not a price category or a promise of equal proximity. A higher number does not necessarily mean a longer journey.

P1 T2 Meet & Greet

P1 is the current number for T2 Meet & Greet. The airport’s T2 product page describes a short terminal connection, but your booking’s arrival process remains important: driving into a handover facility is not the same as choosing any multi-storey bay.

Save the approach instructions and check whether an arrival call is required. Read where the vehicle is stored, whether it can be moved and how you collect it after returning.

This can suit travellers prioritising reduced luggage handling or a clear handover process. Compare the full price and conditions against self-parking; do not assume the word “greet” guarantees no walking.

P3 T2 West Multi Storey

P3 is the former T2 West Multi Storey name expressed with its current number. It is useful when you want to keep the keys and use a terminal-near pedestrian route.

Manchester’s current T2 page warns that barrierless parking is operating at P3. That makes it particularly important to distinguish a pre-booked stay from a turn-up visit with payment after leaving.

Check the official payment notice and the terms attached to your booking. Do not pay twice by assuming a drive-up instruction applies unchanged to a valid pre-booking, and do not leave a turn-up payment until you have checked the applicable deadline.

P4 T2 Park & Walk

The current P-number table maps P4 to T2 Park & Walk. As the name suggests, compare it on the pedestrian route, luggage and weather exposure rather than expecting a shuttle or vehicle collection.

The airport’s T2 page currently describes a roughly four-to-six-minute terminal connection for the product. Treat that as indicative: finding a bay, unloading and walking with children or mobility equipment can add time.

Check the confirmation’s entrance map. A general T2 address may route you towards a different car park or the terminal forecourt.

P2: verify the label before travelling

The official renaming table labels P2 T2 Overnight, while the current T2 product listing uses T2 Premium. This guide does not silently choose one label as universally correct.

Use the P-number together with your exact booked product and the latest instructions. If an older confirmation uses another name or the offered parking purpose is unclear, ask the seller or airport before travel.

This is a reason to verify the booking, not a reason to assume that two similarly numbered offers have identical access, duration or payment rules.

Drop & Go and longer-stay alternatives

P16 is mapped to Drop & Go. It is a separate vehicle-handover product, not another name for P1 T2 Meet & Greet. Follow its own arrival and transfer or walking instructions.

The current T2 product page also lists P10 Drop & Go Express, while the renaming graphic still marks that product “Coming Soon”. Reconfirm its live availability rather than making a booking plan from the graphic alone.

For a longer holiday, compare these services with available shuttle-based parking on identical dates. Include the return collection process, operating hours, key handling and late-return terms in the decision.

T2 directions: keep the product and number together

Do not use a single airport postcode as the complete navigation instruction. Save the named car park’s current entrance map, terminal, P-number and booking reference.

If your confirmation says Before driving
An older T2 product name Match it to the airport’s current P-number table
P3 West Multi Storey Check the barrierless/pre-booked payment distinction
P1 Meet & Greet Save the reception and key-handover instructions
P4 Park & Walk Check the pedestrian route and vehicle limits
P2 or P10 with a conflicting label Obtain current product-specific confirmation

An existing booking is not automatically invalid because the signs changed. The airport says older confirmations may retain previous names; use the latest instructions to identify the correct current entrance.

Pick-up and drop-off at T2

Parking for a trip, entering a drop-off area and collecting an arriving passenger are different uses. Read the current terminal-specific rules before driving into a forecourt or assuming a pre-booked holiday car park can be used for a short collection.

Do not wait on approach roads for an arriving passenger. Work out a permitted collection plan and its payment requirements in advance.

Accessibility and luggage

Ask about the actual route from the space or handover point: distance, lifts, steps, surfaces and any bus. Confirm adapted-vehicle or roof-box suitability before booking.

Blue Badge parking and airline assistance are separate arrangements. A short advertised walk does not prove that a particular route meets an individual passenger’s needs.

Which T2 option is best for your situation?

Priority Start by comparing Watch for
Keep the keys and walk P3 and P4 Vehicle height and the exact pedestrian route
Vehicle handover P1 and suitable Drop & Go products Different reception and collection processes
Longer stay at a lower total Available shuttle and handover products Transfer time and cancellation terms
Older confirmation Official mapping and seller support Product-name changes, not merely the terminal name

Practical checks before departure

Confirm the airline terminal, screenshot the current entrance map and keep the booking reference offline. Enter the number plate accurately, compare equivalent cancellation conditions and allow for delayed baggage reclaim on return.

Manchester T2 parking FAQs

Does Terminal 2 serve Ryanair?

The current official terminal information assigns Ryanair to T3 and all other airlines to T2. Always verify your flight confirmation.

What is P3?

The official mapping identifies P3 as T2 West Multi Storey. Check its current barrierless and payment instructions.

Are P1 and P16 the same handover service?

No. P1 is T2 Meet & Greet; P16 is Drop & Go. Follow the exact product’s reception and return process.

Is my old-name booking still valid?

The airport says bookings made before the naming change remain valid. Match the old name to current instructions and contact the seller if unclear.
